Release, honor, inspire, and transform through the power of words.
Let’s make writing feel good.
Let’s make writing feel good.
Once you let the words out, you’re changed forever. Once you let them out, you can’t put them back in. And that is where the beauty lives.
As a doula I can’t help but relate this process back to birth. Letting something out that was once a part of you is the ultimate form of surrender. Surrender to possibility, expansion, freedom, and transformation.
That’s why, like any birthing mama, you need support.
Yes, that story needs to come out and see the light. No, you don’t have to do it alone.
I’m Jaime, your
writing doula.
I give you the support you desire and require to finally write your soul’s true expression. My role is not to control or judge. I’m here to listen deeply, share what I know, and hold your hand as you birth your writing project into the world.
You’re here because you want to write stories that matter, and share ideas that you’re passionate about.
You want to harness the power of writing as a tool for self-inquiry, consciousness, growth, healing and liberation.
You might even know, down to your bones, that a book is begging to be birthed into the world through you.
If you already have a working manuscript for a book or story collection, please check out my editing services.
Quick backstory: I have a Master’s in Teaching Writing
I worked as a writing professor for six years, I was a full-time copywriter for a decade, and I’ve written two books. I’m also a doula, for birthing mamas, not just books. I’ve used writing as a tool to help me honor my life’s experiences and I love supporting others to do the same.
My other passions— embodied movement, natural wellness, and healing trauma through creative expression— inform my life and work perspective; these are additional offerings I weave into our work together (for example, I may suggest you dance around your living room or put on a song “that really gets you” and paint).
Visioning Sessions:
Stop Dreaming and Start Writing
In these sessions, we’ll get clear about what you want to write, why you want to write it, whom you are writing for, what your challenges and strengths are, where your hang-ups are, what you need to write, and more.
From here we’ll develop your intentions and create a focused plan of action.
